Nuang & Some Other Side Notes

I just stumbled upon an entry I wrote in 2012 about a copycat blog, my copycat blog. lol. What a poyo guy. Biar la budak tu nak plagiat your thoughts. You should be proud. Things we do in our younger days. And the foolishness they allow. Makes you smile. (Makes you feel all the same, unfortunately)

Anyways.

As we speak, Hadi and Jahed, my nephew are climbing up Gunung Nuang again today. I wanted with all my heart to topple her again. A peak denied me when I injured myself climbing the top of her in 2013. Notice the sexual innuendo there ? Well, me neither. Back to the topic, I injured myself climbing the mountain because I thought wearing jeans while climbing up a 4,898 ft mountain was a good idea. One that I pains-takingly, literally, learned was not a few hours later.

There is a time window you have to adhere to when climbing up Nuang. You have to be the at the peak and start making the climb down by or around 2 PM to avoid getting trapped climbing down treacherous path in the dark. And I'm not kidding when I say treacherous. I've heard stories that there were these couple of guys who were lost and and ended up at Janda Baik! Which is not too weird considering, if you take a look at the map above, that Nuang is situated between two states namely Selangor and Pahang. But let me offer another perspective, you basically started off your hike in Pahang and end it in Selangor! lol.

We were late, of course, caused by the injury of our members, me and Jahed, the two fatties who went and get their selves injured in an outdoor activity that was supposed to be fun. Goddamnit Fakhrol!

I had intended to put the picture of Nuang's peak I would search from Google but fuck it, no. Am going to conquer her one day and then and only then will I share with you the pictures. The ones that I'm gonna take myself. If not for class commitments I have, I would have been wetting my socks with her cold river streams now. Sighs.

Lions Might Sleep Tonite But I Might Not

I've always been fascinated by Africa and its wilderness. Its animals, lions mostly just send me with shrills like a school girl watching some K Pop tards in person. I have always been wondering about the safari packages available. Tho I've never really thoroughly researched it. Guilty. Mostly because the fund simply isn't there yet.

But African deserts, like Paris are two destination one day I wish to visit.

Pix taken without owner's consent from BBM group FB. Hope he's OK with it. Well. If  he finds out. If. Ever.

And tell me if you don't get excited to be living and sleeping in a place like this where a mere flip of  the straw flooring might bring about endless and endless possibilities. I'm so giddy by the thought I feel like I can berak next week's shit right now.

Paris, The Dream

 photo 34a7f1399024eee0c766f4bc5e754c14_zpsdee2c3d6.jpg
Here's one good reason why I thought Paris is such a dreamy place..

Nothing good comes out of staying up past the normal hours. I heard Ted told his kids in How I Met Your Mother.

So here's a list of crazy things, well they are not necessarily crazy per se, just the impulsiveness of the thoughts, they make me think of well doing it right away. So here's a list of crazy things I thought I should do right away while forcing my eyelids not to shut. (I am EXHAUSTED yet I refuse to sleep for I am stingy with my times. Esp. late at night)

Say, withdraw whatever amount of money I have right now in my saving anywhere, Tabung Haji, Maybank whatever, and just go to England and hit any match, I mean any match that is currently being held in the Old Trafford. And I would ask / force / threaten Kurik to come and watch United with me regardless of how disgusted he is with United.

Or.

Just draw as much money as I can get and just backpack to Paris. Put on some winter coats and a scarf (the fashionable manly ones!) around my neck. A pair of cheap sunglasses to go then play tourist around the city and find hidden angles around the city that I can view THE Eiffel Tower from and shamelessly snap loads and loads of selfies that is backdropped by the majesty of the tower. The romance.

Or.

That I should quit my job right away and become a very successful miniature Star Wars figurine trader. I know how people love these stuffs. What I dunno and what I carefully chose not to know is how hard it is to make them or where will I get 'em. Fuck it. Not stopping me from dreaming anyways.

And really I really really need to sleep right now.

Paris

I'm just too lazy to type, starving like I dunno. But this author capture my thoughts quite exactly..

Note: Above are some of the pictures of my recent business travel to Paris. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
"Paris is a phenomenal city and with all its rich historical past and great architectural monuments it attracts more and more tourists from all around the world. But first of all it is considered as the most romantic city of all times! A lot of great and well known writers, poets and artists were inspired by the beauty and sophistication of the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Notre Dame de Paris, Versailles. Its narrow and amazingly beautiful streets make you want to wander all day around this wonderful place and then stop at some secluded café, taste a dainty dish and have a glass of exquisite French wine and that’s the right way to feel the Paris from the inside. It is impossible not to fall in love with this city from the first sight. It will never make anyone feel indifferent!"

The Bucket List.

The picture looks almost if I was living up to my Bucket List. I guess that's the mental picture I have if I were to live up to my Bucket List.

All The Reasons To Be Happy.

Currently backpacking Northward and United won one of the very few games I missed watching. Dimitar Berba on the score sheet again! Yay! :D

Oh What A Feeling!

pic possibly related & the author might be feeling something like this.

Oh what a feeling. To be signing off from a damn fuckin hectic week. Not to mention signing off from the people who, I loath, just by a mere thought of. OK, those are the 6 most space consuming words of my life.

Why ruin a good weekend to come for the likes. OK. Another life shortening span of words. Enough.

I'm happy.

1. Training Course in Labuan 16-17 Dec.
2. Backpacking Up Yours The 24-29 Dec.

Oh what a feeling. :D

And this. I dedicate this to one of the fiercest rivalries in modern football. Lets toast it up for United & Arsenal. Both great teams with great histories. And 2 of the most respectable figures in English Premier League - Sir Alex Ferguson & Arsene Wenger.

Match is gonna happen Dec 13. I am not really optimistic about the fixture but excited nonetheless.

2-1 win for United. I hope. I sincerely hope. Pretty please ? :|

Backpacking Travel

Just so sexcited by this backpack travel plan - Up Yours! err, I mean up North!

p/s: Will come back with the travel's tid bits later!

p/s/s: Can't help but notice the bimbo-ness tendencies in my recent posts. But eff it! (you know just to complete the whole bimbo-ism innuendo)

Flipped.

Just watched Flipped.

A beautifully narrated movie from 2 characters with VERY different perspectives. The cinematography of the movie just complements the whole beauty told in 700 megabytes.

I took a couple of likings in genres of movies I watched. The Sci-fi & fantasy(ies), The all guns blazing & shoot 'em all(s), zombie movies (lol) and the message-ly loaded & well substantiated -

The heavy ones.

Some of the movies that I have watched down the road that fall under this category are:

  • The Bucket List
  • Into The Wild

Flipped has all the ingredients I look for in Heavy movies.

  • Quotes
  • Beautiful cinematography
  • Colourful characters
  • The emotional elements
  • Wide, colourful skies

And the most important element - it made me dream. Takes me places, well literally. But movies watched in such fashion reminisced me of the more innocent yesteryears. Heightened the long I have for company. I've always dreamed of going places with My Intended and just watch the beauty of the world as she passed us by. Haven't had the luxury. But. =)

Sighs. Dreamer I am such.

I recommend it to anyone who is willing to sit down and contemplate. And oh by the way it was inspired by a novel of the same tittle. Lets hope you know how to type Google.

Disclaimer: Heavy, of which I'm referring to is purely of my own opinion. So its foolish on your part to assume that this is the generic Heavy that the industry and the masses' own ignorance refer to.
